2be | !2be a Multipotentialite
For myself, one of the first was “gay/homosexual” (yes I know there are two words there, it was more of a concept than a word at the time), another was “shaman” which was closely followed by “empath”. As time went on, a Sanskrit word, “caitanya” or consciousness. Not the usual definition of consciousness, but of Spirit, which may be why I had to learn it through Sanskrit.
The other day I learned a new one, “multipotentialite”, to be multi-interested and to pursue many varied paths, often at the same time, in my case definitely the latter.
I find many of my pathways orbit around particular centers of interest, Spirit, Religion and Metaphysics; particularly the sources, before they become codified systems when possible. Certain eras in the history of this planet, particularly, the dawning of recorded history, or at least what is commonly presumed to be such (I have some interesting and somewhat unorthodox questions that keep reasserting themselves in these pursuits).
Mythology and lore, though I think they are a variant of Religion and Metaphysical thought and understanding, partially explains my fascination with Joseph Campbell.
So many subjects and so little time around the “life”, if you can call it that, I and most of us are required to exist in by the predominant culture of conformity.
Currently, my multipotentialite nature has me continuing the writing of three potential books, reading the Egyptian “Book of Coming Forth by Day”, commonly called ‘the Book of the Dead”, learning Sanskrit and Egyptian Hieroglyphs to read source materials and, as always, watching and learning from people in all their forms and delving into my own Spirit to see where it takes me.
Add the occasional book for pure entertainment and my current need to watch Peter Capaldi as the Twelfth Doctor in Series eight of “Doctor Who”, then wait impatiently till Series nine makes it to Netflix; well patience is a virtue and at least I have one.
