Often when one subject is dealt with and finished, I have clients either immediately continue into a new area of their lives or return later, but that is completely up to you, the client. How many areas in your life would you like to improve?

      • You are also a Spiritual Teacher, do I have to follow that as well to get Life Coaching?

        No.

While many areas of Life Coaching run parallel to established Religion or the Spiritual path that I teach, there is no requirement for either to have a successful Life Coaching relationship.

    • Spiritual Teaching/Counseling
      • What is Spiritual Teaching/Counseling?

Spiritual Teaching can be any number of things, ranging from consulting on specific areas of one's Spiritual growth or the relationship between individuals and the Universal Source that many call God.

Spiritual Teaching can be short-term or on going, whatever you wish and can cover a gamut of areas.

Spiritual Counseling is usually an immediate aspect of your life that you may need specific help with. When you need Spiritual Support, feel free to call.

      • What Religion or Spiritual Path do you teach?

I personally call myself a Hindu-Buddhi-Christ, a term to represent my personal practice that learns from all the great teachers while not participating in the egocentric separations of the traditional religions.

While I do not follow any specific religion, I firmly respect the teachings found in all the revealed scriptures and teachers throughout history. This becomes possible due to a core philosophy that takes the perspective of the eternal Spirit as the important identity.

    • Reiki
      • What is Reiki?

Reiki is the Japanese form of an ancient hands on energy healing technique that has been around since ancient times. This Reiki energy is the same referred to in the Vedas as "prana", China's "chi", as well as "Sekhem" from Egypt's ancient past.

Being a form of divine energy, it is neither toxic or capable of causing harm to either the practitioner or the patient as the divine only releases the forms and amounts that are needed.

      • How does Reiki work?

A treatment often feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats both the physical as well as the Astral (energy) bodies. As well as helping with physical ailments, Reiki aids in the non-spiritual causes of many conditions by healing the Aura where many problems manifest from.

Because Reiki comes from God, many people find that using Reiki puts them more in touch with the experience of their religion rather than having only an intellectual concept of it.

      • How long do Reiki sessions take?

Reiki sessions last about 45 minutes to an hour usually.

      • How often do Reiki sessions happen?

Reiki can run from single to multiple sessions, determined by the client.

With multiple sessions, they most often occur weekly though there are no set rules and it depends mainly on the particulars of what we are treating.

  • 2 )  The Spiritual Philosophy of Robert Burgener
    • What is the core of your Spiritual Philosophy?

The central core of my teaching would be:

1 )   We all are part and parcel of the Creative Force of the Universe, called God by many. Our primary responsibility in life is to discover our relationship with this "Source" and to continue our growth within that relationship.

2 )   Our Spirit should be taken from its usual secondary, to completely ignored, status and instead be the focus through which we experience our lives.

      Or, as it is written:

Jesus said, “Let one who seeks not stop seeking until one finds.
When one finds, one will be disturbed.
When one is disturbed, one will be amazed, and will reign over all.”

Gospel of Thomas – Saying 2

By being friendly with the happy, having compassion for the unhappy, having joy in the virtuous and disregarding the wicked, the Mind and Spirit retain their calmness.

      Yoga Sutras 1:33
    • Is your Spiritual Philosophy a Religion?

      No.

The Spiritual Philosophy we teach here has no interest in becoming a Religion, but instead creates a different way of viewing whatever Religion you happen to believe or follow.

    • How did your Spiritual Philosophy develop?

I have had a personal interest and fascination in the relationship between God and Mankind ever since I was a child.

My early Religious teaching was from the Southern Baptist sect of Christianity. I always knew that on some level that I did not understand at the time, there was something that just rubbed me the wrong way. I just could not just accept what I was being told.

When I left home at 15 years of age, I had already begun to look into other religious beliefs, not to disprove anything, but to understand how others believed. The summer of 1981 was an eye opener for all the areas of Religious and Spiritual interest.

I was introduced to the idea of traveling in Spirit without the body, called Astral Projection, as well as the basics of meditation and the idea of Spiritual Guides to help if we would listen. I met the Hare Krishnas and the Bahá'í, Buddhist Monks and the Theosophical Research Society amongst many others, definitely a varied assortment of Religious beliefs.

My first true Spiritual experience involved a time of knowing what Spirit truly is and what a sense of joy and peace that state entails. I would say that if I could pass the experience on to others it could possibly change the world, it changes your view of everything.

    • What is the purpose of teaching your Spiritual Philosophy?

The Spiritual Philosophy expressed here is an attempt to give others the ability to experience Spirit for themselves and change the paradigm of their being to something higher than where we usually exist due to our inexperience of our Spiritual state.

The site truly wishes to express the tagline that you see on every page, "...where Life and Spirit become One!™" as this is the beginning of awakening.

  • 3 )  The Law of Attraction (LoA)
    • What is the Law of Attraction?

The Law of Attraction (LoA) is a law of nature that basically says what we focus on, we bring into our lives. It is an applied application of Sir Isaac Newton's Second Law of Motion: for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.

The basic premise is that what we focus our energies on is what we bring into our lives, from people to situations. Since this is the natural state of the universe, we are creating beings. Due to the fact that the majority of us have not been taught about this aspect of the Universe, we tend to create by default and not by direct control and intention.

Simply, because we are fumbling around in the dark a bit, we create more of what we do not want, or by default, instead of what we do want in our lives. The Universe and the Law of Attraction are always functioning; it is a question of what we are putting out so we get back what we want instead.

    • How did you first become aware of the Law of Attraction?

My first direct experiences with the Law of Attraction (LoA) were during the summer of 1981 when I was 15 years old.

I followed a voice of inspiration to do take an adventure that has lasted nearly 30 years. Between that voice of inspiration and the Law of Attraction I began to be exposed to the things that have shaped me into the person I am today.

It was not until some time later when I took an inventory of my life and the things that had happened that I started to see the pattern of this remarkable tendency in Nature. I thought I had discovered something marvelous! I soon started to run into books and others who were already familiar with the Law of Attraction and I became aware of several of the names that were familiar at the time.

    • How long have you been a practitioner of the Law of Attraction?

Well, I would have to say that I am currently 45 years of age and, as with us all, have been practicing the Law of Attraction (LoA) for all that time.

I think what you really mean is, "How long have I intentionally been practicing the Law of Attraction?" I would have to say that I began to REALLY practice it intentionally around 20-25 years ago.

I stumbled upon both some issues in my own life that had been hampering my ability to believe in myself as well as trusting the universe. I also started to see how the Law of Attraction had always been at work in my life. The third big hurdle in practicing was to learn to be both willing and able to ASK.

    • How can the Law of Attraction help me?

The Law of Attraction (LoA) is something that just is, it operates if you work with it or not. It is just one of those functions of Nature that you either live with or, often, apparently become the victim of.

In many ways it is like living near a river that floods occasionally. If you know about it and prepare for the natural state of the river, it becomes less of a difficulty in your life.

If you learn how the Law of Attraction works and how you are either helping or inhibiting yourself in your relations to it, you then become able to change it to a benefit in your life.

    • How can you help me with the Law of Attraction?

With over three-decades of working with the Law of Attraction (LoA) in my own life and over twenty years of teaching and assisting others in making the Law of Attraction work for them in their own lives, I have plenty of experience.

I teach the Law of Attraction to all my students in one form or another due to the fact that it is truly integrated into how this world works. We start off with looking at where you are and how you relate to your life and the world around you. Then, depending on what answers we find, we start making changes in how you do these things in your day-to-day life and change your perspectives a bit so that you can make all things happen by intent vs. by default.

  • 4 )  Robert Burgener/Spiritgeek
    • How long have you been a Life Coach?

While I have only actually used the title of "Life Coach" for a couple of years, I have actually been Coaching people most of my life.

When I was first introduced to the term of Life Coach it was a television program that really put me off. Several years later a client of mine from another industry suggested that I would make an excellent Life Coach. As tends to happen with me, I ran into an introductory lecture on "What is a Life Coach" and found out what it really was.

    • How long have you been a Spiritual Teacher?

I have been a Spiritual Teacher all my life, I just did not know it until years later when I had been studying Comparative Religion for a while. I seemed to have come into this life knowing certain things, but it was not until I started studying the Religions of the World that I started to develop a vocabulary to explain what it was I knew.

    • Where did the name Spiritgeek come from?

I earned the title of Geek years ago in school, I was the kid who spent most of his time studying and doing little projects on my own and yes, I did know the names of my High School's janitorial staff.

When I originally decided to create a website for myself, the first version was going to be called "Sattva Caitanya" which is Sanskrit for Consciousness of Goodness. It was a lovely site but I decided later that it might not be a good idea to have a website people could not spell.

In the process of coming up with a new name, I decided to celebrate my "geekiness" and reference the central theme of what I teach, Spirit, hence Spiritgeek.

    • How long have you lived in Los Angeles?

I moved to Los Angeles permanently in February of 1984, just in time for the Summer Olympics where I sold the "New York Times" at several events including Men's Volleyball and Fencing.
